5 prompts to make Claude interview you (and write your best copy from it)

TL;DR

These five prompts make Claude interview you like a journalist, mirror back what you're underselling, and write your about page, LinkedIn headline, and podcast bio from your real answers — then save the interview for every future page and pitch. About 15 minutes.

Copy each prompt and paste them in order. There's almost nothing to fill in — the raw material is your answers, and prompt 1 won't let you get away with vague ones.

Let Claude run the interview

You're interviewing me to extract what makes me worth hiring. Ask me one question at a time, and wait for my answer before the next, 8 questions total: my story, who I help, what I've actually done, what clients say, what makes me different. Dig deeper when my answer is vague. Don't accept humble non-answers.

Get the honest mirror-back

Now mirror me back. From my answers: what's the strongest thing about me I'm underselling? What do I keep saying that means nothing? Be honest.

Write the about page in your words

Write my about page from this interview. Rule: only my real words and real stories from what I told you. If it could be on anyone else's site, cut it.

Write the short versions

Now write the short versions: my LinkedIn headline, my 2-line bio for podcasts, and my one-sentence answer to 'so what do you do?' All from the same interview.

Save the interview for reuse

Save the whole interview in this folder as my-story.md so we can reuse it for every future page, post, and pitch. Then tell me: what's one question I should ask my past clients that would make this file 10x stronger?

Common questions

  • Do I need to know how to code?

No. This is a conversation. Claude asks, you answer, and it writes the pages and saves the story file itself.

  • Where do I paste these?

Claude Code or the regular Claude app both work. Claude Code is better because prompt 5 saves my-story.md as a file you can reuse in every future session.

  • What if my answers feel boring?

Prompt 2 exists for exactly that: Claude mirrors back the strongest thing you're underselling and flags the filler. Most people's best material is the stuff they consider ordinary.
