Recreate the Look of Any Film With One Phone Video and Seedance 2.5
TL;DR
You can film one take on your phone and have Seedance 2.5 rebuild it in the look of a movie or series. Claude writes the prompt from your video: the light, the camera moves and every cut, timed to your words. Then you upload the video to Seedance 2.5 and paste the prompt. To get the exact film look, add three stills from the film as reference images instead of just typing the movie's name.

What recreating a film look with one phone take means
A filter paints a color over your video. This method rebuilds the whole scene: the light, the camera angles and the cuts, in the style of a film or director. Creator pauloshimas showed the idea in a reel that hit 64.8K views. You film yourself talking on your phone, Claude turns that video into a detailed prompt, and Seedance 2.5 makes the new video.
Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's video model. It takes reference material in one pass, up to 30 images, 10 video clips and 10 audio clips, so it can follow your real take and a film's look at the same time.
Step 1: Film one phone take

- Keep it short. Film 8 to 15 seconds of you talking to the camera. Reference clips on Seedance must run between 1.8 and 30.2 seconds.
- Use a plain background and good light. Seedance copies your real motion, so a clean take gives a clean result.
- Say the real words out loud. Claude times the camera moves to what you say, so your words decide where the cuts land.
Step 2: Have Claude write the Seedance prompt
Drop your phone video into Claude and paste the skill below. It reads your words, then writes one prompt that covers the light, the camera moves and every cut.
promptYou are a film director and cinematographer. I attached a phone video of me talking to the camera. Do these steps:
1. Transcribe my video with a timestamp on every sentence.
2. Study the look of [movie or series name] by [director]: the lighting, the color, the lens, the camera moves and how fast the cuts come.
3. Write ONE prompt for Seedance 2.5 that rebuilds my scene in that look. Describe the light, the set, the camera moves and every cut, with a time range for each shot (like 0-3s, 3-6s) that matches my words.
4. Keep my face, my words and my real motion. Refer to my phone video as @Video1 and the film stills as @Image1, @Image2 and @Image3.
5. Finish with a short list of what to double check before I generate.Step 3: Upload the video to Seedance 2.5 and paste the prompt
Open Seedance 2.5 reference-to-video on fal. Upload your phone video as the reference video, paste Claude's prompt, and generate. The prompt points at your media with tags like @Video1 and @Image1, so upload them in that order.
Start at 480p to test the look. fal's page says a 480p test costs under half as much as 720p. When the shots look right, run the same prompt again at 720p.
The trick: add three film stills instead of typing the movie's name
A movie title gives Seedance a vague idea. Real frames from the film give it the exact color, lens and light. Pick three stills: one wide shot, one close-up and one of the lighting you love most. Upload them as @Image1, @Image2 and @Image3. Seedance 2.5 takes up to 30 images, so three is a safe, easy start.
- Pick clean frames. Well-lit shots with one subject work best.
- Pick frames from the same film. Mixed films give a mixed look.
- Use stills for personal use or practice. Frames from a movie belong to the studio, so check the rules before you post the result.
promptRebuild @Video1 as a new scene. Copy the lighting, color grade and lens look from @Image1, @Image2 and @Image3. Keep my face, my words and my timing. Shot 1 (0-4s): slow push-in, medium close-up. Shot 2 (4-8s): low angle, hard side light. Shot 3 (8-12s): wide shot, camera drifts back. Cinematic film grain, no text on screen.Which path to start with
- First try: one 10 second phone take, one film, three stills, 480p.
- Second try: keep the same stills and change the director's camera moves in the prompt.
- Final render: the winning prompt at 720p.

Common questions
Is this a filter?
No. A filter changes color on the video you already have. Seedance 2.5 rebuilds the scene with new light, camera angles and cuts, guided by your phone video.
Do I need a film crew?
No. One phone and one take is enough for a first test.
How many reference stills can I add?
Seedance 2.5 accepts up to 30 images, 10 video clips and 10 audio clips in a single pass. Three stills from one film is a good start.
Which Seedance 2.5 page do I use?
The reference-to-video page. It takes your phone video and images and lets the prompt point at them as @Video1 and @Image1.
Does this give a perfect copy of the movie?
No. You get a scene in the style of the film, not a frame-by-frame copy. Plan a few test runs and adjust the prompt each time.
