What the skill does

Competitive Ads Extractor (ComposioHQ/awesome-claude-skills)

A single SKILL.md file. It tells Claude how to extract a competitor's ads from ad libraries like the Facebook Ad Library and LinkedIn, save screenshots of them, and analyze the messaging: the problems they highlight, the use cases they target, the copy and creative patterns that keep showing up. It lives in the awesome-claude-skills list, which had 75,899 GitHub stars when we checked on September 29, 2026 (that is the list's star count, not this one skill's).

  • Extracts a competitor's current ads from the Facebook Ad Library (and LinkedIn).
  • Saves a screenshot of each ad so you have a swipe file.
  • Groups the ads by theme, audience or format.
  • Tells you the problems, use cases and copy they keep coming back to, and why those ads likely work.

Install it in Claude Code (2 minutes)

  1. 1Download the competitive-ads-extractor folder from the repo link above (or clone the repo).
  2. 2Copy the folder into your personal skills folder so the file sits at ~/.claude/skills/competitive-ads-extractor/SKILL.md.
  3. 3Start Claude Code. The skill loads on its own and switches on when you ask about competitor ads.

  • Is it free?

    Yes. The skill is a free, public SKILL.md in the awesome-claude-skills repo on GitHub. You only need Claude Code.

  • Where do I put the folder?

    In your personal skills folder, so the file ends up at ~/.claude/skills/competitive-ads-extractor/SKILL.md. That makes it available in all your projects on that machine.

  • Which ad libraries does it cover?

    The skill names the Facebook Ad Library and LinkedIn. The Facebook Ad Library is public and shows ads that are currently running.

  • Does it tell me how much a competitor spends?

    No. The skill looks at the ads themselves (the problems, audiences and copy). Treat anything about spend or performance as a guess, not data.
